My estimate was....

that males would win out on this poll by a landslide (i.e. more than 85% would be males). Was I correct or was I pleasantly surprised? The poll results reveal it :)

  2. i found it nice and funny, that there are 256 people who said, that they are no male nor female but something other. ^_^

  3. I suspect that the poll results reflect how people want to see themselves, not so much how people actually physically are.

  4. it makes the females that play this game THAT much more of a gem...

  5. I take that into consideration bubba. I mentally divided other by the relative male / female ratios to get a number closer to : 22% female and 73.5% male and maybe in reality 1% other. If there really are that many people who are of a different gender, that's awesome, I just didn't think they were so prevalent.

  6. Gender isn't the same as sex, and there actually is a pretty decent percentage of the population that's gender-queer in some way. There are more genders than just masculine and feminine. The percentage here is probably higher given the subject matter.

Personally, I voted Other because while my gender is specifically male, I'm trans (inverse futa) and I prefer to hang out under Other to preserve the distinction in this case.

  7. Very true, while I'm skeptical about the high percentage of females playing this game (or at least participating in the survey) I can definitely see how people are who aren't M or F would be drawn to a game of this style.

My skepticism on the high number of women is based on personal experience on the interwebs. Pretending to be female can be fun.

Though if I'm wrong and the number of women really is in the 20% range, that is most awesome!
